Works great, easy to install
I had a garage door opener that didn't have a remote, I installed this in about 15 minutes and it works great. It also has great range, I can get my door opening from about 3 houses down.

Works great with older Sears Openers (With minor modifications)
My old Sears Craftsman Opener model 139.664053 is over 20 years old and the external mounted receiver was long gone. The Multicode 1090 receiver will work perfectly with this old unit provided you swap two wires inside the opener terminal strip. On my opener they were the black and grey wires. If you have one of these brutes with the 4 terminal strip, simply open it up and swap the wires going to terminal 2 and 3, which aligns the terminals to match the Multicode 1090 receiver terminals. Attach the receiver to terminals 2-3-4 and you are all set. My only complaint was the remote transmitter was very hard to open up for setting the dip switches. Otherwise, this is a very economical solution. I have to say, however, that they don't build openers like this anymore, since mine has worked great for years.
Just needed the remotes
My dad bought his house long ago with a Challenger CH-1000 garage door opener which had a Multi-Code receiver attached. One of the remotes quit working. The Multi-Code receiver was old enough that the model number couldn't be read from the label so I ordered this combo assuming I would have to replace both the receiver and the remotes to assure a match. After quickly installing the receiver I found it didn't work correctly with his opener. Instead of diagnosing the problem I just reinstalled the older receiver and found the new remotes would work. ASPDOORS allow me to return just the receiver so kudos to ASPDOORS. The new remotes have an LED that the old remotes didn't have. My dad will now know he needs to replace the battery in the remote if the LED doesn't light up when he pushes the button.
