Works Well
Rather than repeating the good things other reviewers have said, I'll just add that Amazon's picture of the remote is incorrect. It is actually a four button remote that controls two separate devices using an 'A' and a 'B' channel - one button for on and off for each device. The buttons have a clicky feel when you push down on them. See my pics in the customer images section. Also, if you're looking to buy more units just to get the remotes like I tried, you should know that there appears to be at least four different frequencies and they don't operate each others receiver units. The packages I got had a '1' and a '4' sticker on them. Fortunately I got two '1's so at least I have two remotes that work with one set of receivers, but I wanted three remotes. Since there's a '1' and a '4', I suppose there's also a '2' and a '3'.

Stanley 31188 outdoor remote, 2 pack
Works great, tried other brand, they didn't work.
You could be three feet away with the other brands and it wouldn't turn the lights on or off.
The stanley I can be inside the house 50 feet away and no problems turning remote lighting on or off.
I had a stanley before and it worked great.
Couldn't find any in the local store so I brought a drifferent brands, was I sorry.
Looked on the net and found the stanley's should have done it in the first place.
Very Limited Range
I bought this unit to turn on an outdoor pond filter and light.From the beginning I could turn them on from about 30 feet or so but had to be within 15 feet to turn off.I changed the battery that came with it and that had no effect.After using this just a few times i had to be only a few feet away to work.I don't know if I got a defective one or the FCC/Stanley has powered these down so far the remote has no power left to it.Stanley might have done it because if you use this at a townhouse and your neighbor has the same thing you are going to be turning each others devices on and off.I have an older model of one of these and range is at least 40 feet.
