Poor construction
This item performs it's duty as a gate opener, however it is poorly constructed. It must be opened before use to set the necessary code internally. It was extremely difficult to open and once open even more difficult to close. In spite of the great care in opening it, because it is only plastic, the guides and snaps were damaged. These guides and snaps had to be manipulated to allow the device to be closed once again. My concern is that when the batteries have to be changed and the device has to be opened again that it will not reseal again.

2 is better than 1
i offten visit my parents house and tend to just change the code on my regular opener,so buying this was a no brainer. quality is good. one thing to remember is that when you try to open the cover to change the code or battery, use a flat head and pop the cover from the bottom where the notch is and you won't break the clips
