My old Genie garage door opener of many years slowly failed.
The new one works with nine or twelve pin models
Simply remove the cover and using the old opener, match the pattern of on/off settings from your old to new.
Nice surprise that saves $3.00; it comes with a nine volt battery included.
From 25 feet outside the house, through my van's glass, it immediately opened the garage door.

Works Fine, but poor installation instructions
This works fine and was easy to install, but there were only two terminals on one sensor where my old sensor had four wires connected. The installation instructions said nothing about this so I had to use trial and error to figure out how to connect it. If you have the same problem, simply connect both "+" wires from the old sensor to the "+" terminal on the new sensor and both "-" wires from the old sensor to the "-" terminal on the new sensor.

Beamers work for Stanley Vemco
I purchased two sets of the beamers for my 1998 Stanley Vemco doors. Had trouble with the origial safety sensors and was sick of holding the button to close so it was time to fix. Received the units in about three days. The old receiver has 4 wire but you can just twist the + together and the - together to make it work for the two wire Digi-Code. I opened the box, cut the "black" wire on the receiver as instructed for the Stanley brand, then installed for a test run-Nothing! They did not work. I was baffled so a tried changing the wires around but still nothing worked (you can hook them up backwards and it will not hurt the units). I then tried the "Sender" on the wire coming down from the opener motor (has low voltage power) and the red light lit up. I then twisted the wire together with the wire going over to the other side of the door and hooked the sender up over there - DEAD! Ahah! Now I knew what was wrong; the wire was damaged in the atic somewhere (mice?). I ran to the...
Worked like a charm thanks to other reviews
I was using this device to replace yellow Moore-O-Matic sensors. I agree with other reviewers that the instructions are totally inadequate if you are replacing sensors for a Moore-O-Matic. The receiver on the old sensor has four wires, the new unit only two; and the instructions mention nothing about this. Another reviewer said that you needed to hook both positives of the old receiver (one labeled "to emitter," the other labeled "to operator") to the single positive of the Digi-Code receiver and both negatives from the old reciever to the single negative of the Digi-Code receiver (You also need to cut the yellow wire on the back of the new receiver as it says in the Digi-Code instructions). He said you needed to switch the position of the emitter and receiver, but I found that was not necessary and wonder if the reviewer had some location specific issues (my doors face south and do not get any direct sun). Better than the retail one
Bought this because the repair man wanted $200 to replace the one I have. Was easy to install and is exactly like the one I removed. Excellent and saved me a bundle.

Functions fine, but case doesn't
This is the 4th Digicode pad I have bought (I use two for my electric gate). It works perfectly well, but the whole case is made from cheap plastic. The lid attaches with two plastic molded pins formed in the lid. One ALWAYS snaps off within a year, making it hard to use as a flip up lid, as it keeps coming off now. Also, I would recommend mounting to a flat surface and then caulking around the edges to prevent ants from nesting inside the base (which happened to mine outdoors - they affected the electronics. And at $38 a pop, it is not a bargain. I am looking for a new brand that is compatible. These are WAY overpriced.
I give it a one star due to the price, quality and design.
Okay, but...
This product is fine, but beware! THere is a very similar product (looks the same, reads the same) that is cheaper. We bought the cheaper product, not noticing the fine print that the cheaper one only works with 300 mghz garage door openers, something Stanley DOES NOT MAKE. We needed to get the 310 mhz. Read more carefully than we did!
