Last one worked for more than 10 years - hoping for the same this time
Exact one that we installed more than 10 years ago. I believe the 10 year old one only stopped working because it got hit with a power washer by our painter. Very easy install. Very simple to program. This is a wired unit but it is very simple and is very reliable. Like I said, this new unit is exactly like my old one that was more than 10 years old. Also, it faced directly in the South Florida Sun for those 10 years and went through several hurricanes. I give it 5 stars mainly for its reliability along with its simplicity to install and program.

Genie Wired Garage Door Opener
I chose to purchase this opener device as a direct replacement for the one currently installed that has given me problems lately. Most of the devices on the market are "wireless" versions but I really don't want another battery to worry about. My current Genie wired opener has occasionally not worked and I suspected the keypad. I installed it 9 years ago. Not knowing the true problem, I purchased the complete kit but had to only install the keypad and not the controller box. It took less than 5 minutes to effect the change. Now it works as it should!

Seemed to take only a 4 digit pin but I didn't mess around with a longer one. It may a longer pin if you try.
It blends in nicely and has around a 1 inch profile.
From box to setup and on the wall was 10 minutes.
Works as expected.
Works just as expected. Caution though. Make sure to leave enough space for the lid to slide all the way up. Oh, and the lid is pretty tight.

Don't waste your time with this cheap piece of junk !!!
You definitely get what you pay for with wireless keypads. This is even less than you would expect for $17 (I paid $15 + shipping direct from Community Controls). Bought it to replace an exterior post mounted keypad to use in conjunction with a 310 mhz Digicode receiver controlling a gate opener. Flimsy plastic door barely stayed in position after the first 48 hours. Programming was relatively easy. You have both jumpers and dipswitches to match with your receiver. However this unit is not waterproof. It is not water resistant. It is not moisture resistant. It was mounted on a post with protection from 3 directions similar to what you would have on the outside doorframe of a garage door. First sideways rainstorm (10 days after installation) - it stopped working and is now in my yard art scrap pile. The instructions don't mention that the item is not water resistant/water proof. When I called customer service @ Community Controls they essentially told me I was out of luck. If you have...

Never lock yourself out again!
Love love love this product. Works great for after school kids coming home, house sitters, pet sitters, etc. PLUS never lock yourself out of your house accidentally again! :) You can change the passcode endlessly so never a security risk either. Great product.

Multicode wireless keypad from Sanford and Son
I received the keypad and installed it. It is a side business of mine to keep several automatic gates operating and have done this many times. The keypad has a problem with the wires to the battery it only works if you push up on the red wire while the battery is out. It is a sealed unit and I cannot get into it to repair a new item. Seems like a long process to get it returned in the mean time I have an unhappy customer.

Works with Craftsman 1/2 HP opener
I have a Craftsman 1/2 HP opener with a manufactured date of 8/2000, and the orange smart learning button. The instructions for this Liftmaster keypad suggest that my opener is type 4 with an opener ID of 2 for programming purposes. When done this way, either the keypad will work with the opener, OR my original remotes will work with the opener, but not both. Clearly that would be unacceptable, so I tried different numbers for the opener ID, and everything worked perfectly after programming the keypad using an opener ID of 4. Perhaps it is a mistake in the instructions, or perhaps there was a running change in my opener model, who knows. The point is, if it doesn't work when programmed with the opener ID specified in the instructions, try the other ID numbers before giving up.

Other than the programming issue, it works fine. I have a newer door with full steel facing front and back, about 1.5" thick overall (IIRC the R value is something like 12.6). Some reviews mentioned...

Works well with Sears Craftsman opener
This device makes a great gift. For about a year now, it has worked flawlessly with our 1994 model Sears Craftsman garage door opener. The directions were good and programming was easy. I was initially concerned about two things: the lettering wearing off the keys we use, and dropping keystrokes which would cause us to have to reenter the code. Neither has been a problem. Although we use it daily, the lettering on the keys has not shown any wear yet. The keypad is good and every keystroke is reliable. I like the backlight feature - easier to see in the dark. The backlight comes on with your first keystroke and turns off automatically.

The one slight complaint I have is that the lid doesn't like to stay up by itself, after several months of use. This requires slightly more coordination for one-handed operation.

works perfectly
This product works perfectly for my old Stanley Vemco 310 frequency door opener. Great product but a bit flimsy and the screws are very small so you may need to "upgrade" them for installation - meant for screwing into wood, but you can deal with that easily and retrofit a bit (or not). Works great.

As advertised, very convenient!
This product was extremely easy to program (took about 5 mins, including reading the instructions), push a few buttons, push one on the opener, and BINGO, it's done! It has been great not needing the car keys to get into the garage from outside.

I can't speak to the longevity of this product, as I just got it about 1 month ago. It appears, however, that the new model only functions for a few seconds after you enter the code, which eliminates the concerns of reviewers of the old model had, that someone could come up right after they walk away and hit a button to open the door.

Final note, it is really more of an off-white/cream color. Luckily, that is what I really wanted.

It DOES work with GENIE Intellicode Openers!
After trying to program it a dozen times, it wouldn't work with my Genie Opener (circa 2003). Being Sunday, Customer Service consisted of a recording of the instructions, verbatim. So I went to the website and viewed the instructional video... well - I felt dumb. The step I was doing incorrectly was the first step!
1) HOLD both * and # until the lights stop flashing then enter...
2) your 4-digit PIN
3) #
4) opener ID (mine was 6)
5) #
6) press the learn key on the front of the Genie opener (you must hold the Clicker no more than 2 feet away from the Genie)
7) 4-digit PIN
8) 00
Once the lights on the Clicker turn off, key in your code (followed by 0) and the door should open.
TIP: I printed an abridged version of these instructions on my P-Touch and stuck them under the battery for future convenience

PROS: It works well - The entire keypad lights up - the white color blends in with the trim - comes with a 9-volt battery...
Easy Installation
The best feature of the Chamberlain keypad is that it requires no additional wiring for installation. Once you program the keypad to your garage door opener, it's ready to attach (2 screws). It took me a couple tries to complete the programming, due to the fact I was not fully depressing the numbers on the keypad when programming the code. I would highly recommend.

Functions fine, but case doesn't
This is the 4th Digicode pad I have bought (I use two for my electric gate). It works perfectly well, but the whole case is made from cheap plastic. The lid attaches with two plastic molded pins formed in the lid. One ALWAYS snaps off within a year, making it hard to use as a flip up lid, as it keeps coming off now. Also, I would recommend mounting to a flat surface and then caulking around the edges to prevent ants from nesting inside the base (which happened to mine outdoors - they affected the electronics. And at $38 a pop, it is not a bargain. I am looking for a new brand that is compatible. These are WAY overpriced.
I give it a one star due to the price, quality and design.
Okay, but...
This product is fine, but beware! THere is a very similar product (looks the same, reads the same) that is cheaper. We bought the cheaper product, not noticing the fine print that the cheaper one only works with 300 mghz garage door openers, something Stanley DOES NOT MAKE. We needed to get the 310 mhz. Read more carefully than we did!
