Perfect
These worked pergect for my community gates and I got them in a few days. It any in luded the battery.
Works Like A Charm!
This remote gate opener is exact to my previous model which was lost. It's very simple to operate and I notice no difference in the former or current model. It even comes with a battery, so its "ready to go" upon re-setting the internal control levers within the battery compartment. The price is also excellent, and I was able to get free shipping on two remotes and another samll item, which met the free shipping requirments. This was and easy and efficient purchase!

Very convenient!
I bought this remote control to replace a larger one that I have. I am satisfied with this little remote. It is about the size of the old Viper alarm remote controls. The small size is extremely convenient as you can attach it to your key chain or store just about anywhere. But the trade off with this small control is that the range is compromised. Its reach is less than the larger controls. With the old remote I can open my gate from about 50 - 100 Ft away, but with this one its usually about 15-25 feet.

The range is not a big deal as you can still pull up next to your driveway and hit the button.

useful little device
This is my second time buying this remote, first time at Amazon. It is basically the same device but they changed the duration of the signal and the code keys are in reverse order. It functions better than the previous version. Overall happy with the performance. But if you are looking to have a long range remote, this is not the one you should go for.

Easy, fast and reliable
I have a 14 year old Overhead door garage door opener. We initially received 2 OHD remotes and added a third two years ago (cost = $49). I needed a fourth but was taken back by their price, now $59. Knowing the frequency (390Mhz), I shopped around on Amazon, and found the Heddolf. My order came in three days. It took me longer to open the box than it did to program the new remote. I now have a more powerful remote at half the price.

OBTW, there are many different operating frequencies for the remotes...look on the back of the case and the frequency will likely be a three digit number associated with the part number.

Additional equipment may be required
Rather than replace our perfectly good 30 year old garage door opener just because a couple of our transmitters quit working, it made more sense to replace just the receiver and transmitters at about 1/3 of the cost. In the description for the receiver, it says it works with any opener. This isn't exactly true. It will work, as is, with any opener that has a 3 wire connection. Since mine is 30 years old, it only uses 2 wires. Turns out that I also need to buy an adapter that converts the 3 wire to 2 wire and includes a power supply for the new receiver. Cost for the adapter is around $15; not a lot, but it would have earned 5 stars if it had mentioned this in the description.

Also... ironically, the company sells a bundled package with a receiver and transmitters at a higher cost than if you buy them separately so be sure to compare the cost options.

great replacement garage door receiver
After 30 years, my automatic garage door opener started to have problems. I replaced the battery in the transmitter but still continued to have problems and then it stopped working all together. I decided the receiver was dead and found this replacement which appeared to be compatible. Installed it in minutes and it works great with my existing transmitters.
Hard to find
These things are getting harder to find but had no problem here and at a resonable price. Took 5 minutes to install.

Satisfied Customer in CT
Well, where do I begin. Lets see, in August 2010 I went to Lowes, Home Depot, Wall-Mart, Target, Sears, and several Hardware Stores, looking for a universal garage door remote control for my 1980 Stanley garage door opener. I was told that I won't find it due to the age of the model. They were right, not even a universal control was made. But then I went to ACE Hardware, and they was the only place that helped me research remote controls online. They have remote controls through SkyLink so they gave it a shot. I found what I was looking for but unfortunately they could not order it for me because that particular type was not contracted through ACE? So I went home and placed the order online and it actually worked out better because it was much cheaper through Amazon. I have to say that the remote control was easy to program and I have not had any problems to date. I will be ordering a second one soon. Thank you, SkyLink for making remote controls for much older model garage door...

why did I put this off?
After putting up with one remote for our 1984 craftsman garage door opener for 10 years, I finally looked online and bought 2 openers. They work great and were cheap! Should have done it years ago!

I got this opener for just because I like the keychain idea, and I hated the bulky ones you put on the visor. Easy to install, held up to a few drops, just wasnt impressed with the range. Had to be in the driveway to hit the button. Personally I like to just drive in once I make it to the house. Went back to the bulky visor opener.

works from 4 feet away......
The device works great after you set the proper code for your garage door opener. But just be aware that this only works from no more than 6 feet away. If you are planning to open the door sitting in your car, this is not the product. I step out of my car and walk close to the door to catch the signal.... I find it useless.
